BOILERMAKER

This occupation includes the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of all types of boilers, tanks, vessels, water towers, heaters, furnaces, etc.; found in the industrial, ship building and railroad industries.

BRICKLAYER

Bricklayer/ Stone Mason/ Tile & Terrazzo Workers: These occupations include the construction, application, and maintenance of all types of masonry structures of brick, block, stone, firebrick, and similar materials, including the application of structural and/or glazed tile walls, ceilings, terrazzo, and tiled floor.

ELECTRICIAN

This occupation includes the manufacturing, maintenance, and installation of electrical wiring systems and associated fixtures, controls, equipment, and HVAC systems, including low voltage, in industrial, institutional, commercial, and residential buildings.

ELEVATOR CONSTRUCTOR

This occupation includes the installation and maintenance of all types of elevator systems, dumbwaiters, leveling ramps, hydraulic stages, and escalators.

INSULATOR

Insulators/Asbestos Workers: This job involves removing asbestos materials and installing insulation on tanks, boilers, turbines, pumps, pipes, valves, ducts, and HVAC systems to reduce heat loss, prevent condensation, protect insulation, and reduce noise.

IRON WORKER

This occupation includes the fabrication, installation, and repair of all types of steel framework on buildings, bridges and other structures and equipment; iron grilles, gratings, stairways, enclosures and other ornamental ironwork and framing systems, including the cutting, drilling fastening members together by bolting, riveting, welding, etc.

LABORER

This occupation includes the performance of skilled and unskilled manual duties in all phases of construction work, including cleanup of construction sites and assisting other skilled crafts in their duties. (However, laborers do not perform the work of skilled craftworkers included herein.)

OPERATING ENGINEER

This occupation includes the operating of both light and heavy construction equipment on all job-sites, including but not limited to; air compressors, power cranes of all types, backhoes, operated shovels, trenching machines, winch trucks, etc.

PAINTER / GLAZIER

Painters: This occupation involves applying various coatings like paint, varnish, lacquer, shellac, epoxy resin, and Teflon to construction surfaces. It also includes sandblasting, wall coverings, and preparing dry walls for painting. Also includes Glaziers and Floor Layers.

PIPEFITTER

This occupation includes the installation, maintenance, and repair of high-temperature water and high-pressure piping systems such as hydraulic, nitrogen, oxygen, steam heating, and steam-generating systems. Also included is pipe welding, as well as, pipe fitting work associated with HVAC systems.

PLASTERER / CEMENT MASON

Plasterers: This occupation includes the application and repairs of finishing plaster surfaces of interior walls and ceilings and exterior stucco walls in the construction industry. Cement Masons: This occupation includes the application and/or repair of ally types of cement and concrete surfaces and structures.

PLUMBER

This occupation includes the installation, modification, and repair of utility, supply, and disposal systems, fixtures, fittings and equipment such as sewage, water, gas, and oil lines, compressed air, vacuum and acid systems, water closets, water heaters, hydrants, valves, and pumps.

ROOFER

This occupation includes the installation, maintenance, repair and waterproofing of all types of construction roofs.

SHEET METAL WORKER

This occupation involves the fabrication, modification, repair, assembly, and installation of various sheet metal parts, including those for HVAC systems. Materials used include galvanized and black iron, aluminum, stainless steel, copper, brass, lead alloy, and bronze.

SPRINKLER FITTER

This occupation includes the assembly, installation, and repairs on pipes, fittings, and fixtures in sprinkler systems for fire prevention. Also performs other related duties.

TEAMSTER

This occupation involves operating various powered vehicles, some with specialized equipment, to transport cargo, passengers, or tow equipment within or between facilities and public roads. It also includes tasks like checking received materials and warehousing on industrial construction sites.
